New call for the contest of 2011!
Many children begin with enthusiasm to study guitar, but not too many that after a certain time continue working hard to overcome the difficulties that this instrument. The reasons are several, but certainly one of the most important is the lack of time available for practice of instrument: just think of the hours that they claim the school.
Hence, as a teacher or professor of guitar, it must find a way for these students, despite the few technical resources they have, continue to happily making music and motivated to look forward. And it is chamber music, practice together, an extraordinary possibility that, without major technical difficulties satisfying musical results are obtained and sometimes even surprising.
With this in mind we organized in 2009 and 2010 the First and Second Conference on Children's Guitar in Saarland (Germany). Given the success on both occasions and the increasing demand for places even for participants that exceed the prescribed age, is to take place between 20 and 23 April 2011 the Third Conference Guitar for Children and Youth in 2011 Saarland.
As part of the same, and taking into account the need to find works very good guitar for children's group will take place Second International Composition Competition "Gitarrentage für Kinder im Saarland" .
CONTEST - The composition will be free to group style guitars, three voices, so children in the initial stage of learning del instrumento. Por lo menos dos de las voces deberán ser monódicas y la tercera podrá incluir algunos acordes y/o arpegios sencillos. En lo posible cada voz deberá tener un sentido musical propio. Podrá haber además una cuarta voz opcional destinada a alumnos que estén por debajo del nivel general del grupo.
- Todas las notas deberán encontrarse en la primera posición de la guitarra con excepción de la nota “la” en la primera cuerda. La obra no deberá presentar complicaciones rítmicas (por ej. síncopas ó semicorcheas en tiempo rápido) .
- La obra deberá tener una duración mínima de 3 y máxima de 6 minutos.
- La obra deberá ser original e inédita. There shall be no plagiarism, or based on a protected work, or have received an award in previous contests.
- Each composer may participate with one work.
- Membership to be sent under a pseudonym and shall not have any data to make known the real identity of the composer.
- The composition must be submitted as follows:
- three copies of the full score
- a copy of each of the voices
- on paper, written on a computer, in a sealed envelope with no return address on the showing the name of the composer.

- In addition to the work, the envelope must contain a second smaller envelope, unopened, with the following features of the composer: name complete mailing address, phone number, photocopy of identity card or passport, a brief curriculum vitae plus a small letter in which the person concerned declares whether or not you agree that the work is used as a code within " Guitar Workshops for Children and Youth in the Saarland "in the event that is not among the winning entries. In the front of the envelope must contain the user ID and an e-mail not disclosing the real identity of the contestant

- Participants can send, if desired, a recording or a copy of the audio file of the computer (MIDI) on CD.
- The reception of the works closed on 15 December 2010.
- In a first selection, the Jury shall elect at least three compositions and communicated by e-mail with the relevant composers.
- selected compositions will be studied by children and young participants of the "Third Conference on Children and Youth Guitar Saarland in 2011," those who run before the jury in closing the public concert of this day. At that time determine the first, second and third. Only then will proceed to the opening of the envelopes to find out the identity of the winners and will announce the winners.
- The Jury may declare one or more prize void.
- The composition received the first prize of 1,000 Euros will be published by Editorial Chanterelle of Heidelberg (Germany). Composers who received the second and third prizes will be awarded the sum of 500 Euros and 300 Euros respectively.
- These composers must agree that their works are used as code for "Days Guitar for Children and Youth in the Saarland. Other compositions participants may only be used for this purpose if the composers have previously stated their agreement. Otherwise they will be destroyed.
- No work participating in the contest will be returned.
- The work received the first prize will be presented later to the Editorial Chanterelle in software Finale or Sibelius.
- Winners will be required to mention every time you present the work-in writing or hearing-that it was awarded at the Second International Composition Competition "Gitarrentage für Kinder im Saarland.
- The Jury's decision is final.
- Participation in the International Composition Competition "Gitarrentage für Kinder im Saarland" implies acceptance of these Terms. Any circumstances not covered by the same shall be resolved by the jury without appeal.

The jury will be composed by renowned guitarist Roberto Aussel, Professor at the Musikhochschule in Cologne and director of collections of guitar music publisher Henry Lemoine in Paris, Mr Michael Macmeeken , Chanterelle editorial director of Heidelberg (Germany), and guitarist Inés Peragallo, director of the Conference on Children and Youth Guitar in the Saarland.
Awards:
1st Prize: 1,000 Euros
and publication of the work in the Editorial Chanterelle (Germany)
2 nd Prize: 500 Euros
3rd Prize: 300 Euros
